About Micah 6:8 Foundation
Doing Justice, Loving Mercy, Walking Humbly
Our Vision & Work
Micah 6:8 Foundation strives to create a more just world where people on the margins become the transformational leaders of the future.
We do this by partnering with leaders in the Great Lakes Region of Africa. We aspire to be co-workers and encouragers for our partners as they work to empower youth and children, create economic opportunity, and equip leaders.
We provide one-year grants that can lead to multi-year commitments alongside resourcing and connections that will uplift our partners and champion their mission.

Who We Are
We are driven by the vision of a future where people who live on the margins become the transformational leaders who change their own communities forever.

Our Values
The Beliefs We Live and Work By
authentic relationships
We believe authentic relationships create space where all can speak directly and honestly, which leads to better solutions, outcomes, learning and growth for all.
meaningful and permanent change
We believe meaningful and permanent change is possible when visionary leaders uncover root problems and design programs that will have exponential impact.
beneficiary-centered design and empowering local leaders
We believe beneficiary-centered design and empowering local leaders is the best way to solve the major challenges communities are experiencing. Working this way leads to transformational programs and more dignifying results.
constant learning and improvement
We believe constant learning and improvement is possible when we measure impact and analyze the data. This won’t look the same for everyone, and we know it isn’t perfect, but we believe what you measure shows what you value.
holistic support
We believe holistic support means going beyond writing a check, to being co-workers, sincere encouragers, and connectors for our partners. To play these roles well, we want to celebrate our partners’ victories and understand their struggles.
Where We Work
We fund organizations working in South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
How Faith Matters To Us
We want individuals and communities to experience the fullness of Christ. We are dedicated to addressing the whole scope of human life including physical, emotional, intellectual, relational and spiritual health. We seek partners who are committed to holistic development.
